In support of a planning application for a hydropower scheme in Bedfordshire Keystone Ecology carried out a combined Phase I Habitat Survey, Fish Assessment and Arboricultural Survey. The survey site was a disused boat weir where archimedes screw turbines were proposed to be installed. Compared to conventional turbines, screw turbines require less fish and debris screening.
